Alumni Serve as Inspiration: Cheung Chi Ho, Jack, overcoming brain cancer and a passionate life coach
Over the years, our graduates have been able to achieve much success in treading different pathways. This success can inspire present students to strive for advancement. Cheung Chi Ho Jack, graduate of class 2013, deserve notable mention.
Jack was awarded for being a Top Ten Outstanding Living Heroes by the Hang Seng Regeneration Society on 5th November. He was awarded for his ultra-positive attitude towards life and contributions made to the society as a life coach. Jack always wanted to be a stage performer but his dream was quashed by his diagnosis of brain cancer and subsequently going through 9 major surgeries in 8 years. Despite that, being a life coach at the Coaching Dot, he believes everyone has their talents and needed to be identified and developed.
It is through inspiring role models like Jack that proves Hip Wo’s motto correct: all students can “Strive for advancement, despite adversity.” For further stories of Hip Wo alumni, you may watch our Human Library Series or Humans of HipWo in our website and Instagram (@delia.hw).
