Co-lesson planning, lesson observation and evaluation facilitates teachers’ professional development
Teachers’ professionalism is always the key to ensure the quality of teaching. Thus, we have established the teaching and learning quality assurance mechanism, which consists of ‘co-lesson planning, lesson observation and lesson evaluation’, as well as ‘looking at student work’.
Since the launch of the 1st phase co-lesson planning, lesson observation and evaluation in late September, lessons of 34 teachers have been observed and evaluated and there were over 50 professional dialogues. Similar professional development activities will be carried out throughout the year, as we believe in ‘there is nothing best but better’. Through lesson observations and evaluations, it is hoped that teachers can reflect upon their lessons and improve their teaching in the future.
