Carrying Forward the Spirit of the Lion Rock — The Annual Sports Day madean impressive conclusion
On 24/10 (Friday), the annual Sports Day was held in the Kowloon Bay Sports Ground. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Tsui, the acting principal, uses the Lion Rock nearby as a metaphor to encourage students to be committed to ‘the Spirit of Lion Rock’ and strive their best in the sports ground and their future paths, which was subtle yet inspiring. Not only is the Sports Day a platform for students to display their sports potential, but it is also a big classroom comprising different learning elements, which nurtures our students’ will to strive for the best and the sense of teamwork. This year, we have the most number of student participants (including athletes and helpers) and the richest atmosphere ever. The winners of each event are as follows:
Note: Wang Xi Wei (4D), who won the high jump contest and broke the record last year, won the champion this year as well. Wang also obtained the proficiency certificate in ‘the Hong Kong Junior Age Group Athletes Meet 2014’, achieving an impressive result of 1.85 meters in the boys A1 grade high jump. We offer our most sincere congratulations to him and wish he can continue to seek breakthroughs in the future.
