Professional Interflow with scholars from Singapore

On 2/3 and 3/3, 3 teachers from Singapore paid a visit to our school. During the two-day visit, we briefed them on the school-based curriculum of Chinese Language for Non-Chinese Speaking Students, how information technology supports learning and teaching, ideals and strategies of constructing a harmonious campus and diversified assessments for raising the effectiveness of learning and teaching, etc. Through observing our principal’s lesson and sharing with him, our honourable guests were deeply impressed by the school management and principal’s teaching experience. After they returned to Singapore, they wrote a letter to us as follows:

我們于2016年3月2日與3月3日,在貴校參觀學習,學習期間得到了您和各部門教職員熱情的接待以及慷慨的心得分享,在此特表示感謝。 感謝貴校為我們安排了多元的活動,充實我們的學習體驗。學習期間,各相關部門負責人及師生與我們交流,讓我們對於貴校培育學生的理念與實踐有了立體的認識。為非華語學生編制的中文校本課程,支持教與學的資訊科技教育,建設融合校園的策略與信念,以及提升學教成效的多元性評估,這些項目所蘊含的學習點,對於我們在新加坡的教學工作有很好的啟示。 特別要感謝的是,校長您特意撥出時間與我們分享在治校與教學方面的心得。您以實務為本,對於教師的教學專業提升的做法,很值得借鑒。此外,注重課堂效能、照顧學生差異的立體課堂概念,培養學生理解與批判性思維的時事篇章閱讀教學,以及“把學習還給學生”的理念,對於我們的日常教學工作有很大的啟發。同時,我們也非常感謝您歡迎我們再次拜訪,學習如何進行有效評課,促進教學效果,提升教師的專業水平。 一言蔽之,這兩天的學習,我們獲益良多。在此,我們再一次向徐校長、各位接待我們的教職員與師生道一聲謝謝,感謝你們慷慨大方的心得分享,以及熱情周到的接待。
