Creativity exemplified in writing

A famous quote by William Faulkner says “If a story is in you, it has got to come out” and creative writing is one of the core in our language curricula where it allows Hipwoers to cultivate students’ creativity (one of the 3Cs in language learning). We provide ample of opportunities for our students to participate in writing competitions both organized in school or external organizations. Recently, our young writers bagged home two awards in a territory wide Chinese story writing competition entitled “香港青年中文故事創作比賽 (2015-16)” organized by H.K. Youth Cultural & Arts Competitions Committee. Li Yiman of 6D2 was awarded the champion award in the senior form category while Xu Lulu of 3E and Guan Yinglin of 2D2 received a commendation award in the junior form category.
