A courtesy visit by Mr. James Betts, Deputy Police Commander of Kowloon East Region
On 14th May, top brass of the Hong Kong Police Force, Mr. James Harold Betts, Deputy Commander of Kowloon East Region and Dr. Gilbert Wong, Chief Superintendent of Police, paid a courtesy visit to Delia Hip Wo. The officers were given a tour around the school and mingled with our students. Mr. Betts took the opportunity to converse with Hipwoers in Cantonese and encouraged them to consider Police as one of their pathways, in particular to the girls. The officers were dazzled with the school’s unbending effort in creating a genuine integration environment both inside and outside classroom. Some possible collaborations were also rolled out and the school will be looking into it.
The school also took the opportunity to express their heartfelt appreciation for running the Harmonious Pyramid Project (HPP) since 2016 where students benefited from learning Chinese in the evenings and additional support for career and life planning.
