A courtesy visit by Dr. Christine Choi, Under Secretary for Education
On 6th June, Dr. Choi paid a courtesy visit to our school and tried to understand how Hip Wo caters for the schooling needs of the Non-Chinese Speaking Students (NCSS) and Newly Arrived Students (NAC). Dr. Choi was given a school tour and lesson walk-throughs in different lessons, in particular, Chinese and English subjects. Then, she took the opportunity to converse with the students and teachers. Regular topics ranging from learning and teaching to career pathways planning and some other hot-educational topics. Students were dazzled with Dr. Choi’s frankness and passion in her work during the “Dialogue with the Under Secretary for Education” session.
Dr. Choi and her entourage acknowledged school’s clear direction in addressing the learning needs of NAC and unbending effort in creating a genuine and holistic integration environment both inside and outside classroom.
