THIRD term’s highlight: Overseas Academic Activities (Culinary Arts & Putonghua)
Nothing is better than broadening your horizon by participating in overseas academic activities in summer holidays. There were at least two academic activities deserve mentioning; namely, the 9-day Culinary Arts course in Ming Chuan University in Taiwan and 20-day Putonghua Summer Camp in Guangzhou. A total of 30 students participated in these two programmes. Students who have joined these activities not only had their travel & tourism opportunities materialized but also increased awareness of future study and career opportunities in a broader community and as well as an increased proficiency in the use of Putonghua.
More importantly, we believe that students will have a more global outlook on life, and a heightened sense of engagement with social competence, through confronting challenges beyond their familiar environment and comfort zone in our activity design.
