本校学生协助廉署推广少数族裔防贪教育
居港的少数族裔人数有近四五十万人,但由于语言及文化等差异,对贪污的警觉性低,易堕贪污陷阱。日前,本校学生Ashi Babar(巴基斯坦裔)及Rana Samichhya(尼泊尔裔)参加了廉政公署举办的「少数族裔青年倡廉教育先导计划」活动。透过活动,不但在个人方面增加对香港廉洁文化、贪污祸害及防贿法例的认识,同时通过担任义工或廉署大楼导赏员等,亦将倡廉信息用自己的语言传递给朋辈,让他们不致误堕贪污法网,推动廉洁文化,共同建设廉洁社会。以下是两位学生日前接受星岛日报及南华早报记者专访时的分享:
“Before joining the programme, I wasn’t aware of corruption in Hong Kong and I hadn’t heard of the ICAC……This was a good learning experience for me and I learned many communication skills” (Ashi Babar 6A1)
